Chapter 510 + the Department of Make Believe

Chapter 510 was founded in 2013 to address a need for a welcoming creative space for Oakland youth. Made By Humans partnered with Chapter 510 in reviving their brand and building out a new space for learning. Inspired by Oakland youth and our diverse and talented community, this new writing center champions agency, identity, and voice, and draws inspiration from Oakland’s history of resistance.
